Richard Moore
Licensed Professional Counselor
When Richard was a young man of fourteen, he was always aware of God's call on his life to teach, preach, and prepare people for the Kingdom of God. Unfortunately, he pursued other avenues, but at this point in his life, he believes what he dreamed of has blossomed, and he has become that person of whom he has dreamed.
He has been married to his wife, Robin, since September 12, 1992. They are blessed with two children, Rahsaan and Reyna. He spent most of his life in Raleigh, North Carolina. After graduating high school, he earned a B.S. in Mathematics from North Carolina Central University. He worked as a teacher and taught mathematics to help students learn more about themselves and explore the world through learning. While teaching in high school, he pursued a degree in Computer Information Systems at Bowie State University. However, he felt called by the Lord to preach the gospel and decided to follow his calling. He was ready to do what he had been ordained by God to do.
He strongly desired to fulfill a certain requirement by attaining a master's degree. For a period of three years, he attended Trinity University, situated in Washington, D.C., and successfully obtained a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling in August 2012. He believes that this achievement was a necessary step in preparing him for the challenge of reaching every individual through his ministry of service. Equally important, it enabled him to recognize and understand the needs of the people he would be addressing. Although it was challenging, he considers it a significant accomplishment that ignited his passion for lifelong learning.
He currently serves as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the District of Columbia and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland. This profession perfectly aligns with his calling from God, allowing him to view every individual as capable of redemption and worthy of positive regard.
